KIN exhibit highlights Berlin Wall anniversary

The Berlin Wall not only separated Berlin, it united much of the western world. For decades the wall was a symbol of a Cold War that immobilized and frightened a divided world. And then it fell.

A new exhibition inspired by the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall opens in November at a Ray Street Gallery in San Diego, California, featuring the work of professional artists Jerrell Conner, Oggy Yuradin, and Juan Baladran. The exhibit is endorsed by the German Consul General for Cultural Arts, the Honorable Michael Ott.

In Germany, the City of Berlin is conducting a “year of remembrance” in celebration of those who helped tear it down. In commemoration of this historic event, the KIN exhibition will feature a diverse range of artwork, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, poetry and photographs, all created in response to the fall of the Berlin Wall and what that symbolizes.

The free exhibition will run until 30 November and is open every weekday from 12 noon until 5 pm, and Saturday and Sundays from noon until 7 pm. For more information about the exhibit and KIN, Agency for the Arts, visit the website at http://www.kinagency.com/
